This workshop is designed for Executives, OD and HR professionals. Specifically, it is designed to provide participants with:
an overview of research findings regarding the influence of organizational factors and support levels on the functioning and productivity of work groups and teams
a method to assess the level of organizational support for teams within the organization as a whole or organizational subsystems strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in the level of organizational support for teams strategies to facilitate an increase in the level of organizational support for teams.
Participation in this training workshop is limited to intact teams. An intact team consists of the team leader and all team members. A maximum of four intact teams may attend a given workshop. The workshop is designed to equip members and leaders of selected work groups and teams with the knowledge and skills necessary to insure the productivity and effectiveness of their current and future teams. Specifically, the workshop is designed to provide participants with: an overview of group and team development specific information about the current functioning of their team development the steps involved in planning and implementing an action plan designed to increase the productivity of their team specific information about, and practice with the skills necessary for effective team membership and leadership information about, and practice with, the skills necessary for effective intergroup relations specific information about, and practice with, increasing the team's level of organizational support.
This training is designed to increase the skills of consultants and potential consultants. Specifically, it is designed to provide participants with: an overview of the consulting process knowledge, skills and practice in assessment and diagnosis knowledge, skills and practice in intervention knowledge skills and practice with evaluation strategies knowledge of the ethical guidelines for consultation strategies to manage the consulting function within an organization strategies to ensure accountability of the consulting function within an organization.

an understanding of the natural barriers and resistance to change awareness of methods to overcomes barriers to change practice in designing a change process.

Specifically, the training is designed to provide participants with knowledge and skills in: assessing group development choosing facilitation styles that match a group's developmental needs intervening moment by moment in ways that facilitate group goal achievement developing ways to transfer facilitation skills to group members determining when to withdraw from the facilitation role evaluating the usefulness of each facilitation assignment.
This training is designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to evaluate the credentials and competence of external consultants and trainers in order to choose among them. Ways of determining the effectiveness of surveys, instruments and other tools also are emphasized. Specifically, the training is designed to provide participants with knowledge and skills in: evaluating the experience and educational background of potential consultants and trainers asking questions designed to elicit the underlying theories and assumptions of potential consultants and trainers asking questions to determine whether potential consultants and trainers are aware of current research and theory in their area evaluating the reliability of instruments, surveys and other tools understanding the steps required to validate instruments, surveys and tools asking questions to determine whether a specific tool has undergone a validation process determining the relevance of a particular tool to your situation and needs.
This training is designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to design, conduct, and evaluate a presentation. Specifically, the training is designed to provide participants with skills in:
assessing the learning and informational needs of the audience choosing and fully understanding relevant presentation material organizing the presentation outline
determining methods to deliver the material preparing handouts, overheads, slides and other presentation aids platform skills evaluation methods.

knowledge of the group theory and research that form the basis of the Group Development Questionnaire (GDQ) knowledge, skill, and practice in administering and scoring the GDQ knowledge, skill, and practice in interpreting the GDQ profiles of different groups knowledge, skill, and practice in facilitating an intervention process designed to increase group effectiveness and productivity.
